3 Days Flying Trip to Kidepo Valley

Kidepo Valley National Park is among Uganda’s most magnificent parks located in the far northern part of Uganda along the border of Uganda and South Sudan and Kenya in the East. The park offers a spectacular savannah landscape that ends in rocky horizon. Kidepo Valley National Park offers a wide variety of wildlife species it’s one of the few parks in Africa where you can watch both zebras and giraffes. There are high chances of seeing tree climbing lions which normally sit up in the trees around the Narus valley or by the rock as you enter Apoka. Kidepo being a very remote and distant park going thereby air becomes the best option. The tour will give you an opportunity for a game drive and also enjoy the cultural tour

Detailed itinerary

Day1: Arrival and Fly to Kidepo.

Upon your arrival at the Entebbe international airport you will met and greeted by our company tour guide/driver who will brief you about the safari and later drive you to Kajjansi airstrip to catch your flight charter to Kidepo valley national park. Upon arrival at Kidepo airstrip you will meet our guide/driver who will transfer you to your booked accommodation for lunch and later you will go for an evening game drive along the Narus river valley games expected to see include buffalos, zebras, elephants, giraffes and if lucky lions, cheetah and leopards among others. There are also numerous bird species along the way. After you will come back to the lodge for Dinner and overnight at: luxury Apoka Safari Lodge, Budget: Apoka Rest Camp, Apoka Hostel, Kakine Campsite, Bandas, Nga’moru Wilderness Camp

Day 2: Morning game drive

After breakfast, you will have an early morning game drive through the arid river bed, savannah, small forests, hills and the foot hills of the mountain to marvel at the flora and fauna in the area. You will continue the drive to Kanangorok hot spring, where you will spot plenty of wildlife including the 28 species of mammals found nowhere else in Uganda. The park has over 463 bird species. Return to the lodge for lunch and the evening will be reserved for leisure at the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at: luxury Apoka Safari Lodge, Budget: Apoka Rest Camp, Apoka Hostel, Kakine Campsite, Bandas, Nga’moru Wilderness Camp

 

Day 3: Cultural tour and Departure.

After breakfast, with your packed lunch you will visit Lorokul cultural groups and explore the fascinating ancient culture of Karamajong. Karamajong people are proud warriors who believe that all cattle in the world belong to them. You will observe their charming lifestyle and dancing if interested you can join in their cultural dance and music. Also visit their manyattas (homesteads), kraals. After, you will drive to Kidepo Airstrip to catch your charter flight back to Kajjansi Airstrip. Upon arrival you will meet our driver who will transfer you to Entebbe International Airport to catch you flight back home if scheduled on the same day.
