3 Days Gorilla Trekking – Bwindi

These 3 days Uganda gorilla tour will take you to Bwindi impenetrable national park which is located in the southwestern part of Uganda. It’s a home for the endangered mountain gorillas, track the gorillas and also visit the local people who live near the park. Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National
You will be met by our safari tour guide/ driver at the lodge after breakfast, he will brief you about the safari and later transfer you to the south-western part of Uganda to Bwindi impenetrable national park, and the drive will take you about 7-9 hours to the park. We will have the first stopover at the equator crossing for snacks and photography and later to Mbarara for lunch. After, we will continue down to the valley to Bwindi impenetrable national park a home to the endangered mountain gorillas. We will arrive at the park in the evening; relax at the lodge as you wait for tomorrow’s breathtaking activity gorilla tracking. Dinner and an overnight at (Budget):  Buhoma Community Bandas, Bwindi View Banda/ (mod-range) Lake Kitandara Lodge,  Nkuringo Campsite/ (luxury) at Buhoma Lodge, Gorilla Forest Camp, Silverback Lodge, Ruhija Gorilla Lodge and Cloud Mountain Gorilla Lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi forest
After breakfast you will be briefed by a ranger guide on how you will successfully carry out gorilla tracking as you penetrate the thick forest for the rare mountain gorilla in their natural setting. With packed lunch, battled water, jacket, you will enter the forest following the animal trails, while in the forest, you may be able to view other animals like buffaloes, black-fronted duiker, leopards, giant forest hog, and the rare golden monkeys plus also bird and butterfly among others. The time taken to track these species is unpredictable as it can go from a half to full day depending on a gorilla family, so a reasonable degree of fitness is needed as well as tracking gears like sturdy pair of walking shoes/boots, trekking sometimes involves passing through muddy and steep slopes. Ounce gorillas are met you strictly allowed only one hour with them while taking photography as well as studding their behaviors. After return to the lodge, if you still have energy go for a community walks and visits the local people who live near the park. Day 3: Transfer to Kampala
After your early morning breakfast, you will drive to Kampala through the grass and terraced escarpments of south western Uganda dubbed as “the Switzerland of Africa”. And on arrival to Kampala depending on flight schedule, you will be transferred to the Airport to catch your flight.
