Go gorilla trekking Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to almost half of the world’s remaining population of the mountain gorillas. On this safari, you will track the mountain gorillas from one of the habituated gorilla families in the southern sector of the park in Uganda.

Detailed Itinerary
DAY 1: Arrive at Kigali
Pick up by our company tour guide from hotel in Kigali and drive off to Bwindi National Park. The journey to the North goes through the beautiful terraced hillsides that display Rwanda’s landscape. On your way to Bwindi, you will come in contact with the base of the splendid Virunga volcanoes. Overnight at Trekker’s Tarvan Lodge (Budget), Gorilla mist Lodge (Midrange) and Gorilla Safari Lodge
DAY 2: Gorilla trekking – Lake Bunyonyi
Take an early morning breakfast, head to the park office headquarters with packed lunch for an inevitable briefing ready to trek for the gorillas in the thick impenetrable forests. You get to spend an hour with the gorillas after having trekked for about 3-9 hours. The experience of tracking and finding these great primates is very, exciting; there are 9 other primate species including chimpanzee, blue monkey, black and white colobus monkey, plus 300 bird species and 200 species of butter flies. After you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a boat ride to the Batwa communities. Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Overland Resort (budget) Bunyonyi Safari Resort (Midrange), and Arcadia Cottages (Luxury)
DAY 3: Departure back to Kigali
After Breakfast head for a brief mountain hike and sight-seeing then head Kigali and carry out a simple visit to genocide memorial later Transfer to Kigali Airport to find your departure flight or back to your hotel.
