Day Arrival

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by our company Representative, who will brief you about the safari and later he willtransfer you to Kampala for an exciting entertainment from the Ndere center in Kampala in case you arrive in time, see how amazing dancers jiggle their bodies to the cultural beats of the traditional instruments. Day: Kampala city tour

After a morning breakfast, you will start your day with take a visit to the Kasubi Tombs a burial place for the Baganda Kings; continue to the Wamala tombs a site of the palace of King Suuna II. visit the national museum, Bahai temple, market places, the Kabaka’s lake, then head to the Namugongo shrines where the Uganda Martyrs were burnt under the orders of King Mwanga for failure to renounce their religion, then have evening narration as you learn about the real history of what happened in Buganda, and many other places if times allows  , after the activity you will be driven back to the lodge/hotel for dinner and an overnight stay at (Budget) Hotel Sajovaro, (mid-range) Cassia Lodge, Boma Guest House, (luxury) Hotel Africana, Serena Hotel

 

Day 3: Transfer to Jinja for a city tour

Take a morning breakfast and then after, drive to the eastern part of Uganda to Jinja, branch to the Ssezibwa falls which is reported to have been a favorite spot of King Mwanga and Mutesa II both of whom planted trees there that still flourish today , continue to the Mabira forest which extends even more than 300km2, the forest is primarily composed of most semi-deciduous forest in which more than 200 tree species have been identified with different species of primates and birds, continue with beautiful views of tea and sugar plantation proceed. Arrive at the mighty Nile that is seven times the volume of the Zambezi, then to Bujagali falls, watch the real sparkling white water of the Nile as it forces its way through the stones to the Mediterranean sea, receive entertainment by the Budendo cultural group, see the white water rafters, learn the mysteries that surrounds Bujjagali falls. Day 4Drive to Palisa

After a hearty breakfast at the lodge/Hotel, Visit the Source of the Nile to take a boat ride on the source of the Nile River, receive cultural entertain by the orphans of Balifunaki group and spend the whole afternoon at palace of Kyabazinga the king of the Busoga learning more about the Busoga and the death of Bishop Hannington have lunch en route and then transfer to Mbale arrive in the late evening check into your booked accommodation for dinner and an overnight at Palisa hotel or its equivalent

Day 5: Cultural study and later transfer to Mbale

Take a morning tour after breakfast to the beautiful Gogonyo palm garden and Kasodo, have a boat trip on Lake Lemwa, interact with the local fishermen and view how they extract fish from the lake locally and also learn the methods they used in fishing if interested you can join them in fishing then return to the Inn for lunch and a cultural entertainment before proceeding to Mbale resort hotel for your overnight stay

Day 6: Transfer to Sipi falls in Kapchorwa

Early morning visit to Sipi Falls which is a stunner and arguably the most beautiful waterfall in Uganda. The falls are about 55km north of Mbale, in the foothills of Mt Elgon and not far from the town of Kapchorwa. Not only are the falls spectacular, so too are the views of Mt Elgon above them, and the wide plains of eastern and northern Uganda disappearing into the distance below. There are three levels of falls, but the two upper levels are fairly small compared with the main drop. It is well worth spending a night or two in this peaceful and appealing place. There are some excellent walks on a network of well-maintained local trails, and beautiful scenery in every direction. Dinner and overnight at Mbale resort hotel

Day 7: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park

Begin the panoramic drive north-west of Uganda after breakfast at the lodge passing through the famous Luwero triangle and Masindi town to Murchison Falls National Park a home to a wide biodiversity of wildlife species. You will have a lunch break at Masindi and later proceed to the top of the falls an incredible sight where the water marvels at the Might Nile being forced into a seven meter crevice to thunder 45 meters below in a series of cascades. While here one can appreciate the staggering power with which the Nile crashes through the narrow gap in the escarpment. Day 8: Game drive and boat ride in the afternoon

After a wonderful breakfast, take a half day game drive to see the different animals in the park, games expected to see include elephants, buffalo, giraffe, warthogs, and a variety of antelopes and so many others. After, retreat back to the lodge for full breakfast and lunch. After lunch take a boat trip to the bottom of the falls, the boat cruise will provide you with more chance to view other species wildlife like hippos, crocodile, elephant and buffaloes can be spot  along the shoreline plus various species of birds of lucky you can spot the rare shoebill. Day 9: Transfer to Masindi

Have breakfast to proceed to Mparo Tombs situated 4km out of Hoima along the Masindi road, this place was chosen as the capital of Omukama (king) Kabalega of Bunyoro in 1872. After here, visit the Katasiha Fort then have lunch at Africa village guest farm, and later proceed to Hoima where we shall have our dinner and overnight stay at Masindi Hotel or its equivalent

Day 10: Transfer to fort portal

Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the lodge and then after transfer to fort portal with en route lunch break reaching in the evening. Day 11: Visit the Toro Kingdom

After breakfast, visit the Toro Kingdom, the youngest of Uganda’s traditional kingdoms, ruled-aptly-by the world’s most youthful monarch, not quite four years old when he took the throne in 1995, visit the Karambi Tombs a burial ground for the kings of Toro, then entertainment by the Batoro cultural dancers. Day 12: Chimpanzee tracking and Nature walk

After breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters in Kanyankyu for briefing before you set off to the forest to begin the search of our close relatives the chimps. Chimpanzee tracking time is unpredictable however it can go from 1-6 hours since meeting them depends on where they spent their last night from, so a reasonable degree of fitness is needed as well tracking gears like sturdy pair of shoes. Ounce they are met you strictly allowed only one hour with them. Chimps are fabulous fun to watch when doing their daily activities like feeding, making nest, playing among others. Day 13: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast you will be driven to Queen Elizabeth National park a home for a wide biodiversity of wildlife. The drive will take you about 4 hours with a scenic drive up to the park and you will arrive in the afternoon for lunch, after you will embark on a two hours launch cruise on the kazinga channel which connects lakes Edward and George, the launch cruise provide an opportunity to watch various species of wildlife that live and feed on the lake including large numbers of hippos, crocodiles while buffaloes and elephants can be spotted along the shoreline and many species of birds if lucky you can even spot the rare shoebill. Day 14: Game drive

After breakfast, you will be driven to kasenyi area of the park to catch-up with different species of animals that live in the park. Games expected to see include elephant, lion, Leopard, buffalo, waterbuck, warthogs, Uganda Kob, among others, after drive back to the lodge for full breakfast and lunch. After lunch, you will visit Katwe salt lake and get to know how salt is being extracted from this beautiful lake. Or you can go for chimp tracking in the Kyambura George. Day 15: Visit the local communities around Queen Elizabeth national Park

Wake up for a hearty breakfast and then after go for another activity and visit the different local communities around Queen Elizabeth national Park. You will enjoy many things ranging from Village walks with the panoramic view of the park game and lakes, environmentally friendly ways of living. You will have your lunch on the hill surrounded by the bushes as you take the views of Queen Elizabeth National Park and the crater lakes, you will have chance to learn the local activities like, farming. After you will come back to the lodge and later embark on a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park a home to endagerd mountain gorillas passing through Ishasha sector of the park the famous part known for its tree climbing lions, arrive at the park in the evening. Day 16: Gorilla tracking and Nature walk

After breakfast you will be briefed by a ranger guide on how you will successfully carry out gorilla tracking as you penetrate the thick forest for the rare mountain gorilla in their natural setting. With packed lunch, battled water, jacket, you will enter the forest following the animal trails, while in the forest, you may be able to view other animals like buffaloes, black-fronted duiker, leopards, giant forest hog, and the rare golden monkeys plus also bird and butterfly among others. The time taken to track these species is unpredictable as it can go from a half to full day depending on a gorilla family, so a reasonable degree of fitness is needed as well as tracking gears like sturdy pair of walking shoes/boots, trekking sometimes involves passing through muddy and steep slopes. Ounce gorillas are met you strictly allowed only one hour with them while taking photography as well as studding their behaviors. Day 17: Community Visits

After breakfast at the lodge, go for a community walk and meet the local people who live near the park, they will entertain you through their cultural songs and dance and if interested join them through their music and dance, they will also explain to you how they have managed to live in the area for over 500 years. After, you will embark on a transfer to Lake Bunyonyi one of the deepest lakes in the world. Dinner and an overnight stay at Bunyonyi overland resort (Luxury) or Bunyonyi overland camp (Budget)

Day 18: Boat ride

After breakfast, take a morning boat ride to explore the different islands on the lake, you will spot different species of birds during the boat ride and later return to your lodge for lunch. In the late afternoon, you will visit the nearby communities and interact with them. Dinner and an overnight stay at Bunyonyi overland resort (Luxury) or Bunyonyi overland camp (Budget)

 

Day 19: Departure:

After breakfast, depending on your departure flight, you will be driven back to Kampala/hotel/airport to meet your departure flight back home
